This young lady is pretty new to Youtube, but has really been killing it with her plethora of natural hair styles. If you are contemplating going natural and are thinking you may not have many styling options, you need to check her out. She has given me some great suggestions via her videos. Check out her tut on flat twisting. Now I think I'm pretty creative with my hair, but this is one thing I have not quite mastered.
I know I no longer have straight hair, but this made me drool. Where were you Judy, when I needed a no heat approach!!!! I think I can still try this once my hair grows out some more. It will just be the kinky version. Straight gals, take notes.
I posted this at The BEE and thought I should post over here, as well, since this is a beauty and fashion blog. These are my walkers for Spring (ummm, don't confuse them with walking shoes...HA!). I know I shouldn't be shopping, being I'm living off of unemployment funds, but the DH hit me off with a nice sum of cash. Dreams do come true folks.
Fashion Week has ended and this was the first time I was not in my beloved NYC to catch the news headlines and glimpses of the stars that show out. I am subscribed to FashionTV on Youtube, so I've been filled in on the new collections and shows. I'm starting with Michael Kors for my first FW post. I'm usually a fan of Mr Kors (hasv you seen any of his shoes and boots...WHOWEE), but I don't like this collection. Maybe it's the colors? Most of the dresses seem like they were made from mom's drapes?? JMO (just my opinion)...
What do you think? The only pieces I am feeling are the accessories. I'm hoping the coming Fall season will not be boring when it comes to fashion. Last fall fashion was very exciting. Of course it would have been when I had no income...UGH!
I'll be posting some of my favorite collections, so stay tuned...
I thought this was a great video that shows us naturals/curlies how to detangle and remove those unwanted knots. I get these alot and they are MUEY annoying.
I think I already knew mine. Well, not really, but I know I love the drama of clothes. I rarely do neutrals and need to be seen...lol
Your Signature Style is: Definitely Dramatic The richness of life is expressed in everything you do and everything you wear. You are a show-stopper, a burst of high energy and excitement. You instinctively know how to mix things up, whether it's in the patterns and accessories that define your wardrobe or putting the right people together. When you walk into a room the lights go on. Completely optimistic, you face everything with a dazzling smile. For you, it's always "lights, camera, action."
I just found out that MAC has changed the layout of the site. I am UBER excited. I LOVE IT!!!! It is so technologically advanced and pleasing to someone as creative as me!! I'm such a MAC Whore. Everytime I go in there, they are like B**** where my money...lol And I willingly hand it over :-)
I admit it, I watched the whole silly season of Real Chance of Love. For a girl who is currently unemployed it was MUEY entertaining. On a more important note: Why does REAL from Real Chance at Love have the best hair I've ever seen on a male or female? Who is his stylist? If by CHANCE (ha!) you are reading this: CALL ME!
On another note: Why doesn't Chance just come out the closet already. I knew he wasn't going to choose any of the women...UGH!
This You tuber is PHENOMENAL !! She is doing a 'Beauty Thru The Ages' series and this is her latest installment. Check out her Twiggy Inspired Look. All I have to say is WOW!! I so want to try those bottom lashes!
Because MAC is having another sale on all their products?? Uh-ohhhhhh... The sale is only valid online and would have been even better if they offered free shipping. But hey, a sale is a sale. This doesn't happen very often (or will it), so take advantage if you have the funds.
Save 25% off everything* online. Use offer code MACFF9 at checkout. Excludes VIVA GLAM products. Offer is valid through 11:59pm EST on January 8th, on orders shipped to US and Canadian addresses only.
I had a chance to preview the new collection that will be launching, this Thursday, at MAC stores and counters: Brunette Blonde Redhead.
I was in NYC this weekend and took a trip to the MAC Pro store (note to reader: they usually get new collections a week before the regular stores launch). The display case was not out yet, but the MUA was kind enough to bring out all of the items for me to preview. I see a number of things I want for this collection and will have to break the pockets to get. There is something for everyone and the collection will boast three new brushes. A long overdue smudge brush, a smaller blender version to the 224 and a cheek brush. There is also one MSF (Mineralized Skin Finish) that is to die for! Here is a list of the items from the collection.
